Garlic Bread Toast Sticks – Super garlicky and crunchy, this crowdpleaser is so easy to make. You only need 3 ingredients and 5 minutes of prep time!
What are garlic bread toast sticks?
As the name suggests, these finger long slim garlic bread pieces are made from sliced bread. The bread slices are cut into smaller pieces before baking so they are extra crunchy and easy to dip in sauces.
These garlic bread pieces are great for serving with pasta or soup, or you could even serve them with some dipping sauce like marinara or ranch. Either way, they are low-effort crowdpleaser comfort food!
What do you need to make these?
For these garlic bread toast sticks, you just need 3 main ingredients:
- Vegan butter
- Fresh garlic
- Sliced toast or bread
You also need an access to an oven or a toaster oven (halve the recipe if using toaster oven).
How do you make these garlic bread toast sticks?
Making these garlic bread toast sticks is super straightforward, with 5 minutes of prep time and 20 minutes of idle baking time.
- In a small bowl, mix the softened vegan butter, minced garlic and salt.
- Cut the bread slices into thin strips. I cut each bread slice into 4 pieces for easy sharing.
- Line the baking tray with parchment paper. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly across all of the bread pieces.
- Bake for 18-20 mins at 400F. Garnish with fresh chopped or dried parsley.
Tips and tricks for the best results:
Honestly there's not much to do to make these garlic bread pieces even more delicious! But here are some suggestions...
- Use room temperature butter. This will make it easier to mix the garlic butter mixture and also make it easier to spread.
- Use fresh garlic. I find that using fresh minced garlic has better texture and flavor than pre-minced/storebought minced garlic.
- Garnish with parsley. Without the parsley this recipe looks a bit one-dimensional because it's so brown... solve this problem by garnishing with fresh diced parsley right after taking the garlic bread out of the oven. However, parsley doesn't affect the flavor hugely and is totally optional.
These garlic bread toast sticks are...
- Made with just 3 ingredients
- Super crunchy and garlicky
- Easy to make, with only 5 minutes of active time
- Great for sharing and dipping
